Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani has
reportedly asked the state CS, JN Singh, to engage all secretaries to the
government in making the Vibrant Shopping Festival a grand success. This
follows the failure of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation and other agencies
to generate enthusiastic response among store and mall owners for registering
themselves for the festival. Even though PM Narendra Modi is
scheduled to inaugurate the Festival on January 17, only 2,000 shop owners have
registered themselves for the event against the expected 20,000. Since the success or failure of
the Festival involves the personal prestige of the CM, all the officers
concerned have been exhorted to encourage shop owners to associate themselves
with the event and offer discounts to the public.

Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani has

government in making the Vibrant Shopping Festival a grand success. This
follows the failure of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation and other agencies
to generate enthusiastic response among store and mall owners for registering
themselves for the festival.
Even though PM Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the Festival on January 17, only 2,000 shop owners have registered themselves for the event against the expected 20,000.
