New Delhi (04.02.2023): The Central
government on Saturday notified the appointments of five new judges to the
Supreme Court. The five High Court judges were recommended for elevation by
the SC Collegium on December 13, 2022. With these appointments, the working
strength of the Supreme Court will go up to 32, with two vacancies. On Friday, the Supreme Court had
pulled up the Central government for delaying the appointments of the five
judges, who were recommended in December 2022. The five judges appointed are:
