'Indianmandarins' has learnt that the selection of Director (Finance) of BVFCL (Brahmputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation, Assam) could also involve deputing an officer from a different CPSU to the company. If and when that happens, it will the first of its kind selection for a directorial position in CPSE. The posts of CMD & Director (Finance) in the company have lying vacant for months. The appointments committee of cabinet (ACC) is said to have approved as a "one-time measure" inclusion of the new approach in the traditional selection process. In the existing Department of Public Enterprises guidelines, there is no provision in this regard.
