Chandigarh (04.06.2022): Things are certainly not good for the Congress in Punjab as two prominent Congress leaders -- Rajkumar Verka and OP Soni -- may join the BJP soon. Verka has been an important leader for the Congress while Soni has been the deputy chief minister under Charanjit Singh Channi. Both Verka and Soni are in touch with the BJP leadership. This may lead to an exodus from Congress to BJP after Sunil Jakhar shifted camps last month. Navjot Singh Sidhu is in jail and Captain Amrinder Singh resigned from the Congress prior to the Assembly elections.
