The CBI has sought arrest
warrant against former Kolkata police commissioner Rajiv Kumar as Tom and Jerry
chase between the CBI and Kumar is continuing from long. Meanwhile, the CBI has
accused him of suppressing evidence required for preparing final charge sheet
in Saradha scam case. He has been asked to appear before CBI on September 20. As claims CBI Kumar has not
only been ignoring summons but evading arrests as well so the investigation
agency had sent letters to West Bengal DGP, CS and HS to help trace Kumar. The
CBI wants his custody as it will not only help gather more evidences about
Saradha scam but it has also some political implications as well in a state
where the saffron party at the Centre has an eye. Officially Kumar is on leave
till September 25. CBI conducted searches at various locations across Kolkata
