It is reliably learnt that Arun Kumar Mehta (IAS:1988:J&K) may shortly be appointed for the post of Joint Secretary, Department of Environment of Forest and Climate Change. In case he makes it as JS, MOEF&CC. He would replace Maninder Singh (IAS:1989:AM), who had repatriated to his cadre state in November last year. Currently Mehta is serving in the state as Commissioner Secretary, PDD. Prior to his repatriation in December 2012, Mehta was CVO, Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Ltd (Ministry of Railways) between April 2011 and December 2012.
