10 districts win PM's awards

10-districts-win-pms-awards As many as 10 districts have won the PM's awards for working in the four priority areas identified by NaMo as thrust areas for improving governance. North 24 Praganas from West Bengal, Nagaon from Assam and the Northeast, and Chandigarh as Union Territory have won awards for promoting Jan Dhan Yojna to its fullest possibility. Among those which won the awards for Swacch Bharat Mission (Gramin) are Bikaner from Rajasthan and West Sikkim from Sikkim. In the Swacch Vidyalaya category, the awards went to Ananthapuram from Andhra Pradesh and Anantnag from J&K as well as UT Dadra and Nagar Haveli; and awards for Soil Health Card Scheme were won by Balrampur in Chhatisgarh and Hamirpur in Himachal Pradesh. Accordingly; North 24 Parganas District Collector Ms Manmeet Nanda (IAS:2002:WB), Balrampur District Collector Awanish Kumar (IAS:2009:CG), Ananthapuramu District Collector P Shasidhar (IAS:AP) and Chandigarh Dy Commissioner, Ajit Balaji Joshi (IAS:2003:HY) awarded for excellencence in implementation of priority programmes in respective districts Hamirpur District Collector, Madan Chauhan (IAS:2007:HP) and Dadra & Nagar Haveli DC awarded for excellence in implementation of Soil Health Card Scheme in their own districts West Sikkim District Collector Ms Aishwarya Singh (IAS:2008:SK) awarded for excellence in implementation of Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) Anantnag District Collector, Syed Abdul Rashid Shah (IAS:2012:JK) awarded for excellence in implementation of Swachh Vidyalaya programme Nagaon (Assam) District Collector Adil Khan (IAS:2011:AM) awarded for priority programme Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJSY)
