• The NaMo administration on Tuesday prematurely repatriated Monmohan Sachdeva (ICoAS:1996), Director, Department of Economic Affairs, to his parent cadre to avail the benefits of promotion.

  • The NaMo administration on Monday cleared the appointment of A K Srivastava (IFS:1997:TN) was appointed as Chief Vigilance Officer of National Hydro Power Corporation (NHPC) for a combined tenure of six years ending 08.03.2023.

    Further, Arbind Prasad (ITS:1994) was appointed as Chief Vigilance Officer of Heavy Engineering Corporation Limited (Ranchi) for an initial period of three years.

  • Ms Kavita Singh (IAS:2004:PB) was on Monday appointed as Director in Cabinet Secretariat for a period of five years.

  • Vipul Aggarwal (lPS:2001:GJ) was on Monday appointed as Deputy CEO (Director level) in the National Health Authority (NHA) under the D/o Health and Family Welfare for a period of 5 years

  • The NaMo administration on Monday announced the appointment of 17 officers to the post of Joint Secretary in various ministries and departments:

    1. Navneet Mohan Kothari (lAS:2001:MP) appointed as  Joint Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas for an overall tenure of five years upto 18.04.2021. Kothari replaces  Ashutosh Jindal (IAS:1995:TR). 
    2. Rohit Yadav (IAS:2002:CG) appointed as Joint Secretary in the Prime Minister's Office on lateral shift basis  for a period ending 31.07.2023.  Presently he is working as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Steel.
    3. Baldeo Purushartha (lAS:2002:PB) appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs for a tenure of five years. He replaces K V Pratap (IES:1992). Presently, he is Divisional Commissioner, Jalandhar, Govt of Punjab. 
    4. Ms Neerja Sekhar (lAS:1993:HY) appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting for a tenure of five years. She replaces Ashok Kumar Parmar (IAS:1992:JK).
    5. N B S Rajput (lAS:1999:OR) appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances for a tenure of five years. He replaces  V Shashank Shekhar (lAS:1996:NL).
    6. K V Pratap (IES:1992), Joint Secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs, laterally shifted to Ministry of Home Affairs for an overall tenure of five years upto 23.11.2022. Pratap replaces Amitabh Kharkwal (IPoS:1989).
    7. Ms. Sushma Taishete (CSS) appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Atomic Energy, (Mumbai) for an overall tenure of five years upto 05.07.2023 by downgrading a vacant post of AS in the Department. She replaces Mervin Alexander S (lPoS(1987) who prematurely repatriated to parent cadre. Presently, she is working as Joint Secretary, Department of Justice.
    8. Deepak Kapoor (IA&AS:1998) appointed as Additional CEO, GeM SPV, (JS level) under the Department of Commerce for a tenure of five years. He replaces S Suresh Kumar (lAS:2000:AP).
    9. Surendra K Ahirwar (IRTS:1997) appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Commerce for an overall tenure of five years upto 08.01.2023. The post has been temporarily upgraded from Director to Joint Secretary level for a period of two years (initially).
    10. Ms Aditi Das Rout (ITS:1986) appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Culture, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure upto her superannuation on 30.11.2023. She replaces S C Barmma (IPoS:1987).
    11. Satish Singh (IRSME:1996) appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Defence, for an overall tenure of five years upto 12.10.2022. He replaces Ashok Kumar Singh (lAS:1999:KL).
    12. Ms Mukta Shekhar (IRAS:1994) appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Food & Public Distribution for a tenure of five years vice  Kamal Datta (IFoS:1994:UT)
    13. Atul Saxena (IRSS:1991) appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Food Processing Industries for an overall tenure of five years upto 30.06.2021 by temporary upgrading the Director level post.
    14. Purushottam Tiwary (IA&AS:1996) appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Heavy Industry for a tenure of five years. He replaces Pravin Laxminarayan Agrawal (IFS:1994:TR).
    15. Niraj Kumar Gayagi (IDAS:1997) appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Justice for a tenure of five years. He replaces Ms Sushma Taishete (CSS).
    16. Charanpreet Singh Bakshi (IRS C&CE:1992) appointed as Joint Secretary Ministry of Minority Affairs for a tenure of five years vice Jan-e-Alam (lAS:1991:NL).
    17. Sanjay Kumar Jain (IRTS:1990) appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Public Enterprises for a tenure of five years vice Madhukar Gupta (lAS:1985:RJ) consequent on completion of his tenure.
    18. Tanweer Qamar Mohammad (IPoS:1994) appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation for a tenure of five years vice Arun Kumar Yadav (lAS:1987:SK).

  • Rohit Yadav, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Steel, has been shifted to the PMO as Joint Secretary in lateral shift basis for a period ending 31.07.2023. He is 2002 batch IAS of Chhattisgarh cadre.

  • The NaMo administration on Monday assigned the additional charge of the post of Secretary, Ministry of Steel to M M Kutty (lAS:1985:UT) from 24.02.2020 to 28.02.2020 during the period of absence on leave of Binoy Kumar (lAS:1983:TG)Presently, Kutty is working Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas.
