Jaipur (30.06.2025): The Rajasthan Government on June 30, 2025 appointed Rajeev Kumar Sharma (IPS: 1990: RJ) as the new Director General of Police (DGP). He succeeds interim DGP Dr R P Meharda. Meharda replaced U R Sahoo, who was appointed as Chairman of Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC). He is likely to take charge on Wednesday. His tenure is expected to last until June 30, 2027.
