New Delhi (30.06.2025): The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet headed by the Prime Minister on Monday extended the service of Vikas Sahay (IPS: 1989: GJ), Gujarat DGP for six months. He was scheduled to superannuate today and preparations were underway at Gujarat Police Bhavan for Sahay’s formal farewell.Sahay had replaced Ashish Bhatia as interim State DGP w.e.f. 01 February 2023, and was later appointed as the regular DGP on 01 March 2025. The decision allows Sahay to remain in office till December 30, 2025.ALSO READ:

New Delhi (30.06.2025): The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet headed by the Prime Minister on Monday extended the service of Vikas Sahay (IPS: 1989: GJ), Gujarat DGP for six months. He was scheduled to superannuate today and preparations were underway at Gujarat Police Bhavan for Sahay’s formal farewell.
Sahay had replaced Ashish Bhatia as interim State DGP w.e.f. 01 February 2023, and was later appointed as the regular DGP on 01 March 2025.
The decision allows Sahay to remain in office till December 30, 2025.
