New Delhi (06.06.2024): Political circle is agog about the news that the top BJP leadership has entrusted a senior person with to talk to Uddhav Thackeray and try to negotiate his return to the NDA fold. Since the politics is the game of unlimited possibilities, this move of the BJP may surprise I.N.D.I.A. alliance.
Uddhav Thackeray is part of Maha Vikash Aghadi (MVA) in Maharashtra and it has secured nine Lok Sabha seats in the recently concluded elections. The political agenda of Thackeray has been hard core Hindutva which doesn’t suit the moderate line of MVA. Here is the underlined possibility of joining the NDA fold and the BJP leadership is exploring it seriously.
As and when it happens, presence of Uddhav Thackeray in NDA will bolster its future prospect and also give much needed support to the BJP-led NDA. The Shiv Sena led by CM Eknath Shinde will have to be contend with a smaller share of the cake in the offering. Now, Thackeray will have to take a call on this clandestine move of the BJP.
