New Delhi (28.06.2021): As Kerala DGP Loknath Behera (IPS:1985:KL) is scheduled to retire shortly, Chief Minister P Vijayan has to decide the replacement's name from the panel of three names forwarded by the UPSC after evaluating the state government's list of 12 names (1987 to 1991 batches completing 30 yrs of service). Indianmandarins has learned that the UPSC-approved names are Sudesh Kumar (IPS:1987:KL), B Sandhya (IPS:1988:KL), and Anil Kant (IPS:1988:KL). Indianmandarins has further learned that the appointment of the new DGP (Law & Order) is expected to be endorsed by the Cabinet scheduled to be held on coming Wednesday. The matter has gathered significance amid speculations that Kerala may get the first woman police chief in B Sandhya who is presently working as fire force chief.
