• New Delhi (20.05.2025): Notifications of appointments and recommendations issued on Tuesday are as follows:
    • The tenure of Tapan Kumar Deka (IPS: 1988: HP) as Director, Intelligence Bureau was extended for a period of one year beyond 30.06.2025.
    • The tenure of Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH, was extended for on a period of one year beyond 28.06.2025 i.e., upto 28.06.2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, on existing terms and conditions.
    • Tamboli Ayyaj Fakirbhai (lAS: 2009: CG) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat, for an overall tenure of 5 years upto 20.03.2029. Currently, he is Director, Cabinet Secretariat. He replaces M S Srikar (lAS: 1999: KN) who was recently appointed as Joint Secretary in PMO on lateral shift basis. 
    • Tenure of Rituraj Misra (IRPS: 2010), Director in the Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways, has been curtailed. He has been appointed as Private Secretary to the Minister of State for Coal & Mines Satish Chandra Dubey in the Ministry of Coal for a period up to 30.03.2028.

    • Akhilesh Kumar (IPS: 2005: UP), DIG, CISF, has been promoted as Inspector General, CISF.

    • Manu Mahraj (IPS: 2005: BH), DIG, ITBP, has been promoted as Inspector General, ITBP.
    • Sanjay Kumar Gurudin (IPS: 2005: KL), DIG, ITBP, has been promoted as Inspector General, ITBP.

    Akhilesh Misra (IRSME: 1995), Executive Director (Personnel) (JS Level), Food Corporation of India, has been prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre. 

  • New Delhi (15.05.2025): Notifications of appointments and recommendations issued on Thursday are as follows:
    • Anurag Bhushan (IFS: 1995), presently Additional Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs, has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Sweden.
    • Palaniswamy Subramanyan Karthigeyan (IFS: 2004) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Atomic Energy, for an overall tenure of three years up to 06.04.2027.

  • New Delhi (13.05.2025): Notifications of appointments and recommendations issued on Tuesday are as follows:
    • Ashish Vachhani (lAS: 1997: TN) was appointed as Additional Secretary, PMO. Currently, he is Additional Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance.
    • M S Srikar (lAS: 1999: KN) was appointed as Additional Secretary, PMO. Currently, he is Additional Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat.
    • Dr Ajay Kumar (Retd IAS: 1985: KL) was appointed as Chairman, UPSC. 
    • The additional charge of the post of Secretary, Ministry of Minority Affairs, was assigned to Rajesh Aggarwal (IAS: 1989: MH) from 14.05.2025 to 23.05.2025 during the period of absence on leave of Chandra Sekhar Kumar (lAS: 1992: OD). Currently, Aggarwal is Secretary, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan). 
    • The tenure of additional charge as Chairman Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority to Unmesh Sharad Wagh (IRS C&IT: 2000) was extended for a period from 11.03.2025 to 23.08.2025 or till the appointment of a regular incumbent. Currently, he is Deputy Chairman, JNPA.
    • The Central Deputation tenure of Gurjeet Singh Dhillon (IOFS: 2002) was extended for a period of one year beyond 25.03.2025 and upto 25.03.2026. He counts his Central Deputation since 26.03.2018. He is Director in the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs (MoHUA). 
    • The tenure of Prof. Abhay Karandikar as Secretary, Department of Science & Technology was extended for a periof of one year w.e.f. 01.07.2025 or until further orders, whichever is earlier. 
    • The Central Deputation tenure of Sanjay Garg (IAS: 1994: KL) was extended for a period of one year beyond 24.08.2025 i.e. upto 24.08.2026. Currently, he is Additional Secretary, Department of Agricultural Research & Education and Secretary, Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). 
    • The Central Deputation tenure of Niraj Kumar Gayagi (IDAS: 1997) was extended for a combined tenure of six years upto 06.04.2026. Currently, he is Joint Secretary, Department of Justice.
    • The Central Deputation tenure of Kumar Ravi Kant Singh (IAS: 2008: UP) was extended for a period of two years beyond 01.06.2025. Currently, he is Joint Secretary, Department of Military Affairs.
    • David Lalrinsanga (IPS: 1995: AGMUT) was repatriated to his parent cadre and joined it on 13.05.2025.

    • The additional charge of the post of CMD, Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd (SECI) has been given to Santosh Kumar Sarangi (IAS: 1994: OR) till the appointment of a regular incumbent or until further orders, whichever is earlier. 

  • New Delhi (10.05.2025): Notifications of appointments and recommendations issued on Saturday are as follows:
    • Nidhi Chhibber (IAS: 1994: CG), Additional SecretaryNITI Aayog, has been appointed as DGDevelopment Monitoring and Evaluation Office (DMEO), NITI Aayog in the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India.
    • Yashasvi Mund (ITS: 2011), Deputy Secretary in the 0ffice of Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade (TSU), has been re-designated as Director in the same department for a period up to 08.01.2029. His central deputation tenure is w.e.f. 09.01.2024.
    • Appointments Committee of the cabinet terminated services of Rameshwar Prasad Gupta (Retd IAS: 1987: GJ) as Managing Director, Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd., Ministry of New & Renewable Energy.

    • Neeraj Thakur (IPS: 1994: AGMUT), Spl. CP (MD) DPHCL, will look after the additional charge of Special CP/Vigilance. Thakur has been entrusted with this additional charge in view of Viplav Kumar Choudhary (IPS:1997: AGMUT) being moved on deputation as Special Director of Enforcement.
