CBDT: Five IRS officers appointed as Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax

New Delhi (30.06.2025): The Government of India on Monday notified the appointment of five IRS (IT) officers in the rank (Apex Scale) of Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax under CBDT. On promotion, the officers were posted as Principal CCIT (OSD) in their respective regions, till their formal posting. It may be underlined that Amal Pushp has service upto December 2025 while Amitav, Prasenjit Singh and Govil have terms of service till March, September and October 2026. Among these officers, Peeyush Jain has the longest terms of service i.e. June 2027. ALSO READ:

- Amal Pushp (IRS IT: 1990)
- Amitav (IRS IT: 1990)
- Amit Mohan Govil (IRS IT: 1990)
- Prasenjit Singh (IRS IT: 1991)
- Peeyush Jain (IRS IT: 1991)
On promotion, the officers were posted as Principal CCIT (OSD) in their respective regions, till their formal posting.
It may be underlined that Amal Pushp has service upto December 2025 while Amitav, Prasenjit Singh and Govil have terms of service till March, September and October 2026. Among these officers, Peeyush Jain has the longest terms of service i.e. June 2027.
