New Delhi (09.06.2025): After a year-long hiatus, former
Union minister Smriti Irani once again appeared in Amethi who was humiliated in
the last Lok Sabha elections by Kishori Lal Sharma who seems to have avenged
defeat of Rahul Gandhi for his 2019 loss. The BJP was shocked with the Uttar
Pradesh results and party leaders held infighting responsible for the drubbing
among others. Now, the reports are coming that Irani has been asked to become
active in the state yet again for 2027 Assembly elections and may be asked to contest
as well. She is also meeting workers of the party from the state.
