serving and retired, are eyeing for the new post of Chief Commissioner of the
state Right to Service Commission as the search committee under the chairmanship of Keshni Anand Arora (ACS, Revenue Dept.) begins its operation. The other members of the committee are TVSN
Prasad, Additional Chief Secretary, Finance Department, and Dr. B K Kuthiala,
chairperson, Haryana State Higher Education Council. An officer said that the Chief Commissioner
may be a serving or retired officer in the rank and status of a state Chief
Secretary or GoI Secretary. The Chief Commissioner will hold office for a
term of five years from the date on which he enters upon his office or until he
attains the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier and will not be entitled to
re-appointment. The salary and allowances and other conditions of service
applicable to the Chief Commissioner will be the same as applicable to the
State Chief Information Commissioner.
