The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC)
has finalized a panel of three officers for appointment as Haryana’s next
Director General of Police (DGP) in accordance with guidelines of the Supreme
Court. And the same is sent to the state government for making its pick. The state had reportedly sent to the UPSC the
names of 12 senior IPS officers last month for preparing a panel of three
officers. The 12 officers are Parminder Rai (1982 batch), S S Deswal (1984), K P
Singh and K Selvaraj (1985), B K Sinha, K K Sandhu and P R Deo (1986), K K Mishra
(1987), Manoj Yadava and P K Agarwal (1988) and Mohammad Akil and RC Mishra
(1989). It may be noted that Parminder Rai retired on
January 31.
