New Delhi (16.03.2022): Senior Congress leader from Uttarakhand Harish Rawat has shown the mirror to Congress' top leadership explaining how Muslim University issue trounced the Congress to kiss the dust during the assembly polls.

Harish Rawat said a small Congress functionary raised the issue to set up Muslim University in Uttarakhand. Top Congress leadership got highly impressed by this issue of Muslim University in Uttarakhand. Soon after this, the top leadership elevated the propagator of this idea to the post of vice president. This issue got momentum and the BJP lapped it up. The way Harish Rawat was building strong camping on the Uttarakhandiat identity, lost its momentum completely. BJP made an all-out attack against Congress for proposing to set up Muslim University. The BJP swept the entire assembly poll. Having lost the assembly poll, the high command is busy with the assessment of the assembly poll outcome. They lost the election in a state where victory was a strong possibility. In fact, the Congress leadership should learn a lesson on poll strategy from the BJP how they build and strengthen the local leadership supported by the high command to sweep the polls.
