Ranchi (07.11.2025): Tadasha Mishra (IPS: 1994: JH) has been appointed as the acting Director General of Police (DGP) of Jharkhand following the resignation of Anurag Gupta (IPS: 1990: JH). The tenure of Mishra will last less than two months as she is set to retire in December, 2025.

Anil Palta (IPS: 1990: JH) and Prashant Singh (IPS: 1992: JH) along with M S Bhatia (IPS: 1993: JH), were also in the race for the top post. Mishra is currently serving as the Special Secretary in the Home, Prisons, and Disaster Management Department of Jharkhand Police.
