New Delhi (31.07.2023): Radha Mohan Das Agarwal, the newly appointed national general secretary of the BJP, was reluctant to forgo his claim over Gorakhpur (Urban) Assembly seat for Yogi Adityanath in the last Assembly election. He was cajoled by none other than but Amit Shah and was sent to the Rajya Sabha later. But his appointment as General Secretary has something more what meets the eye. For 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Agarwal will be the Centre’s man not only in LS ticket distribution but also in other election management as general secretary. His presence will not let the UP CM to have free hand in various crucial election activities. With Centre’s CS, state president, no permanent DGP and now general secretary from Gorakhpur, people say, Amit Shah knows how to work silently.
