With its notification on Thursday, the Department of Personnel (DOPT) has kickstarted the process for appointing the next Chairman of Cochin Port Trust. The deadline for submission of application is 05th May 2018. The post has been vacant since early 2017 and Chennai Port Trust Chairman P Raveendran (IRTS:1988) has been holding the additional charge of Chairman since March 2017. The Chairman post (Jt Secretary or equivalent post) in Cochin Port Trust was on Thursday advertised by the DOPT with 05 May 2018 as the deadline for submission of application. After 10 years, the Cochin Port Trust has reasons to cheer as it notched up a net profit of Rs 4 crore in 2017-18.
