New Delhi (03.11.2022): Sooner or later, regime change in Rajasthan will happen as CM Ashok Gehlot has failed the litmus test of loyalty contrary to his claims. It is always unconditional not with any rider so Sachin Pilot has leverage over Gehlot as far as Team Rahul is concerned which takes major decisions. A section of Congress insiders believes that Gehlot has an upper hand over Pilot for Team Priyanka Gandhi. In the meanwhile, PM Modi’s praise of Gehlot has widened the chasm of distrust which is an advantage for Pilot. Recently, Gehlot's move to claim CM and INC President's post together turned out to be counter-productive for him and a blessing in disguise for Pilot.

It seems that with the passage of time Sachin will be able to realise his dream. In such a scenario, Gehlot will have to think about his son’s future considering power is a game of absolute uncertainties.  INC Presidential elections have made a dent in Gehlot’s image who was otherwise considered the most trusted man of Gandhis. But fact remains that Gehlot is at the helm of affairs and has time by his side while Pilot will have to have patience.

During the 2017 Gujarat Assembly elections, Gehlot was alleged to have fallen in line as he had to choose between Gujarat elections and the Rajasthan regime for his own future. He seems to have been doing the same in this election as well. He is the only recognizable leader and Gujarat has 25 lakh Rajasthanies.
