New Delhi (19.04.2025): Appearing for the first time as the member of the selection board (PESB), the two newly appointed members played a key role in helping the full-strength board in selecting Surjit Mishra as Director in-charge (DIC) of Burnpur & Durgapur Steel Plants. Meanwhile, Chitta Ranjan Mohapatra has also been appointed as Director in-charge of Bhilai Steel
Plant.
All together twelve candidates each appeared before the selection board (PESB) in both the cases of which Surjit Mishra and Chitta Ranjan Mohapatrawere picked up for the said position.
Currently, Surjit Mishra is Executive Director (Projects),Indian Iron & Steel Company (IISCO) while Mohapatra is Executive Director (Works), Bokaro Steel
Plant, Steel Authority of India Ltd.
Subject to requisite clearances and ACC approval he will succeed Brijendra Pratap Singh who moved to NALCO as CMD in the first week of January, 2025. Mohapatra
will replace Anirban Dasgupta who will be retiring on 30.04.2025.
