New Delhi (17.04.2025): As Indianmandarins had indicated earlier (Report dated 17.09.2024) the New Delhi establishment finally cleared the long-awaited appointments of two new members in the Public Enterprise Selection Board namely; Alkesh Kumar Sharma (Retd IAS: 1990: KL) and Roop Narayan Sunkar (IRSEE: 1985). Alkesh Sharma retired as Secretary (Coordination) in the Cabinet Secretariat whereas R N Sunkar retired as Member (Infrastructure), Railway Board.
The newly appointed members replace Sailesh (Retd IAS: 1985: AM) and Amarjit Sinha (Retd IAS: 1983: BH) in the selection board (PESB). 
It may be underlined that for the last few months selections to Board-level positions in Schedule “B” & Schedule “C” CPSEs were almost on hold due the lack of quorum. 
Following the two appointments the public-sector head-hunter gathers strength and it is expected that stalled selection interviews in those CPSEs would be scheduled in a fast-forward manner.
