Patna, Manipur & Meghalaya High Courts get new Chief Justices

New Delhi (12.09.2025): The Supreme Court Collegium recommended appointment of Chief Justices of the High Courts of Patna, Meghalaya and Manipur. The following arrangements have been made by the Collegium:
- Justice PB Bajanthri, Karnataka High Court, has been appointed as the Chief Justice of Patna High Court. At present, he is serving as the Acting Chief Justice.
- Justice Soumen Sen, Calcutta High Court, has been appointed as the Chief Justice of Meghalaya High Court.
- Justice M Sunder, Madras High Court, has been appointed as the Chief Justice of the Manipur High Court on the retirement of the incumbent Chief Justice on 14.09.2025.
