announcement of his present tenure, RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das (IAS: 1980: TN)
left the media guessing whether he is going to get extension of his tenure or
not. He said that CRR cut for the first time in four years will
inject Rs 1.16 lakh crore into banking system. But Das sidestepped a query on possible
extension of his tenure. “I am not giving you any headline. I think it is better to stick to monetary
