The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) on Wednesday ran into embarrassment when none of the shortlisted candidates turned up for an interview for the post of Managing Director, North Eastern Handicrafts & Handloom Development Corp.
In fact, this represents the reality of the financial mess at the PSU which has been facing an existential crisis for the last couple of years.
'None of the candidates appeared for the selection meeting. The board decided that the administrative ministry/departments may choose an appropriate course of further action for selection' said a statement on the PESB website.
