Bhopal (21.11.2024): Madhya Pradesh is likely to get a new DGP before state Chief Minister Mohan Yadav embarks on a foreign tour from November 24 to 30. The DPC for the appointment of the new DGP will be held on November 21, for which Chief Secretary Anurag Jain is likely to visit Delhi along with Additional Chief Secretary (Home) SN Mishra.
After the DPC, three names for the panel will be cleared. Yadav will select one of the three officers from the panel. If a decision on the appointment of DGP by November 23 is not taken, it will be delayed till November 30. The names of Kailash Makwana (IPS: 1988: MP) is ahead of the rest as reportedly his CR has been improved by the CM. Ajay Sharma (IPS: 1989: MP) and Arvind Kumar (IPS: 1988: MP) are the other two front runners.
