Bhopal (16.11.2024): With November 30, 2024 being the retirement date for the incumbent DGP of Madhya Pradesh Sudhir Kumar Saxena (IPS: 1992: MP), the exercise regarding the appointment of new police chief has been intensified. The state government has sent a panel of nine names to UPSC which will send back three names to the state government. Besides this, the names of Home Guard, Police Housing Corporation and EOW chiefs are also being zeroed in on. The names of Kailash Makwana (IPS: 1988: MP) is ahead of the rest as reportedly his CR has been improved by the CM. Ajay Sharma (IPS: 1989: MP) and Arvind Kumar (IPS: 1988: MP) are the other two front runners.
