out several tough tasks be it demonetisation, triple talaq, surgical strike and
smashing the special status of Kashmir. Amid oppositions from within
and outside, Modi-Shah has not only nullified its attack but alienated Pakistan
with its exhaustive home work before executing its plan. They did not allow the
matter to get leaked to anyone at the home front. There has been a general
practice that all party meeting is convened before taking such big decisions
but whenever the matter is discussed at all party meeting it is mostly
recommended to Parliamentary Standing Committee and always remains in Limbo
forever of which women reservation bill is a testimony. The government played
emotional card, divided opposition on the issue of Nationalism, put security
arrangements well in place, Valley was cleansed from terrorists. But the
government appeared resolute even if it had to evacuate Amarnath pilgrims and
tourists in Kashmir facing their ire. It is not that things
remained hunky dory for the duo. The issue of demonetisation is still
debatable, GDP has gone down to 5 per cent, cleanliness mission of Ganga proved
to be a damp squib, unemployment still haunts the country but Modi-Shah duo
take everything to a logical conclusion come what may. The government neither
succumbed to the pressure of political parties nor civil society on any of the
issues as mentioned above. Moreover, they are rather preparing road map for
J&K to ensure smooth elections in the state. BJP’s organizational structure
is working day in and day out to ensure a win. De-radicalisation is another plan
on which the government is very serious about in its K plan.
