New Delhi (26.06.2023): Manilal Patidar (IPS: 2014: UP) has been dismissed from the service by the Union Home Ministry and his name has been removed from the UP Police website. Besides corruption charges, Patidar is also accused of killing a crusher owner in Mahoba district. Patidar surrendered in the court in October, 2022. He was on the run for two years.Indrakant Tripathi, a stone crusher from Mahoba, filmed a video on September 7, 2020, in which he accused the then-SP Patidar of demanding bribes. A letter of complaint and a video were given to DGP and CM Yogi Adityanath. Tripathi voiced his fear of being murdered. Tripathi was later found with bullet injury and died on September 13, 2020.
