New Delhi (31.01.2023): The government has appointed over a dozen officials to the Joint secretary /Joint secretary equivalent posts. These officers are:
  • Rajat Agarwal (IAS: 2003: PB) has been appointed as Executive Director, India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), under the Department of Commerce, for a tenure of five years.
  • Subhash Chandra Agarwal (IRS C&IT: 1994) has been appointed as Additional DG in DGFT, New Delhi under the Department of Commerce for a tenure of five years.
  • Amitabh Prasad (IA&AS: 2001) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Defence for a tenure of five years.
  • Rajender Kumar (IOFS: 1997) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Food & Public Distribution for an overall tenure of seven years up to 03.12.2024.
  • Devendra Kumar Nim (IP&TA&FS: 1993) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), Ministry of Home Affairs, for a tenure up to the date of his superannuation on 31.01.2025.
  • Rajendra Ratnoo (lAS: 2001: TN) has been appointed as Executive Director, National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM), Ministry of Home Affairs for an overall tenure of five years up to 07.02.2024.
  • Rahul Kapoor (RAS :2002) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs for a combined tenure of seven years up to 14.01.2025.
  • Shahnawaz Alam (IP&TA&FS: 1994) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Minority Affairs, for a tenure up to the date of his superannuation on 30.04.2027.
  • Vikas Anand (lAS: 2002: AGMUT) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Panchayati Raj for a tenure of five years.
  • Sumita Singh (CSS Services) has been appointed as Director, ISTM, under the Department of Personnel & Training for a tenure of five years.
  • Raj Kumar (IPoS: 2001) has been appointed as Additional Secretary (JS-level), UPSC, Department of Personnel & Training for an overall tenure of seven years up to 31.07.2023 by upgrading the post of Director level held by the officer to Joint Secretary level.
  • Sonal Mishra (IAS: 1997: GJ) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship for a  tenure of five years.
  • Ajay Gupta (IRSS: 1993) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Textiles for a tenure up to the date of his superannuation on 31.08.2026.
