New Delhi (14.11.2022): In a major bureaucratic reshuffle, the Centre on Monday cleared the appointment of Joint Secretary or Joint Secretary equivalent officers in various ministries and departments. The list of officers appointed goes as follows:
  1. R Lakshmanan (IAS:2004:BH) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways for an overall tenure of five years ending 14.02.2024 Vikram Singh (IRTS:1997) who recently moved to Railway Board as ED. 
  2. Asangba Chuba Ao (IAS:2003:BH) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation for a tenure of five years. He replaces Ms Usha Padhee (IAS:1996:OD).
  3. Ajit Bhalchandra Chavan (CSS Cadre) was appointed as Additional CEO, GeM SPV under the Department of Commerce for a tenure of five years. He replaces  Deepak Kapoor lA&AS (1998).
  4. Vishwesh Negi (IFS:2002) was appointed as OSD (JS level), Department of Defence for a tenure of three years. He replaces Somnath Ghosh (IFS:1997).
  5. Jayant Kumar (IRSME:1995) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Defence Production for a combined tenure of seven years ending 02.10.2024 vice Puneet Agarwal (lAS:1998:TR).
  6. Shalabh Tyagi (IRSEE:1997) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Defence Production for a tenure of five years. He replaces Chandraker Bharti (IAS:1996:UT).
  7. Sanjog Kapoor (IRS IT:1999) was appointed as Joint Secretary & Financial Adviser, Ministry of Education for an overall tenure of five years ending 20.10.2026. He replaces Ms Darshana Momaya Dabral (IP&TA&FS:1990).
  8. Vinit Kumar (IRSEE:1994) was appointed as CEO, Khadi & Village Industries Commission (KVlC), Mumbai under the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises for a combined tenure of seven years ending 08.10.2024. He replaces Ms Preeta Verma (IPS:1991:BH) who is set to complete her tenure on 20.11.2022.
  9. Ms Indu Rani Dubey (IRTS:1994) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Minority Affairs for a tenure of five years vice Ms. Nigar Fatima Husain (IDES:1996).
  10. Som Dutt Sharma (CSS Cadre) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Personnel & Training for a tenure of five years in addition to the additional charge of the post of Director, lSTM (DoPT).
  11. P Manoj Kumar (ISS:1998) was appointed as DG, Petroleum Planning & Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas for a tenure of five years. He replaces Praveen Mal Khanooja (IA&AS:1994).
  12. Ms Hena Usman (IPoS:1999) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship for a tenure of five years vice A K Tiwari (IAS:1990:KN). 
  13. Prem Kumar Jha (IFS:1993:OD) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Sports for an overall tenure of five years upto 19.09.2026 vice Siddhartha Singh Longjam (IA&AS:1994).
