The NaMo administration, on Thursday, effected a major bureaucratic reshuffle as follows:

 

• Inder Jit Singh (IAS:1985:KL) appointed OSD in the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DONER). He will succeed Navin Verma (IAS:1982:BH) retiring in February next year. He was awaiting his posting.
• Ms. Madhulika P. Sukul (IDAS:1982), as Secretary, Central Information Commission (CIC) in the rank and pay of Secretary. Presently, she is Financial Adviser (Defence Services), Ministry of Defence. Earlier, in September, Ms. Anita Bhatnagar Jain (IAS:1985:UP) was appointed to this post which was cancelled to formalise Mrs Sukul's appointment.   
• P N Sukul (IDAS:1982) appointed Secretary, National Commission for Minorities in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary. Sukul will succeed, J Rama Krishna Rao (IAS:1985:BH) retiring February next year. Presently Sukul serves in his cadre.
• D V Prasad (IAS:1984:KN) appointed CMD, FCI in the rank and pay of Secretary. He replaces Yogendra Tripathy (IAS:1985:KN) who vacated the post upon his appointment as Secretary, Ministry of Tourism this month. Presently, Prasad is serving in cadre state of Karnataka.
• Ms. Gargi Kaul (IA&AS:1984) appointed Financial Adviser (Defence Services), Ministry of Defence in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary vice Ms. Madhulika P. Sukul. Presently, Ms Kaul is AS&FA, Ministry of Civil Aviation.
• Sushil Kumar (IAS:1987:TR), presently in the cadre, appointed Additional Secretary, Department of Agricultural Research and Education. The post fell vacant after the appointment of Chhabilendra Raul (IAS:1985:PB) as OSD in the Department of Fertilizers.
• Mrs Alka Tiwari (IAS:1988:JH) appointed AS&FA, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers vice Ms Meenakshi Gupta (IA&AS:1984) who was appointed Member Secretary, National Commission for Women. Presently, Mrs Alka Tiwari serves as Additional Secretary, Department of Fertilizers.
• Arun Kumar (IAS:1989:HY), appointed AS&FA, Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) vice Ms Gargi Kaul. Presently, he is Additional Secretary in MoCA.
• Atul Kumar Tiwari (IAS:1990:KN) appointed Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting by temporarily downgrading the post of Additional Secretary in I&B vice Ms. Jayashree Mukherjee (IAS:1986:MH). Ms Mukherjee’s appointment to a new post is expected to be announced soon. Presently, Atul Kumar Tiwari is Joint Secretary, Ministry of Textiles.
• Vivek Joshi (IAS:1989:HY), presently in the cadre, appointed as Registrar General and Census Commissioner under Ministry of Home Affairs in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary.
• Bala Prasad (IFoS:1983:MN) elevated (in-situ) as Special Secretary in the Ministry of Panchayati Raj.
• Satpal Chouhan (IES:1983) elevated (in-situ) as Special Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs.
