Anand Arora (IAS:1983:HY) was on June 30, 2019 appointed new Chief Secretary of Haryana; a post which fell vacant after the retirement of Depinder Singh Dhesi (IAS:1982:HY). She
may have at least 14 months to serve at this coveted post. She will be retiring
September next year. She was 1983 batch topper IAS and the first lady Deputy
Commissioner of Haryana. In administration she made a mark especially in social
sector, tourism and finance and revenue.
