Bengaluru Police Commissioner suspended among top cops

New Delhi (05.06.2025): Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah suspended Bengaluru Police Commissioner, Additional CP, ACP central division and SHO in connection with Chinnaswamy stampede in the city on Wednesday that claimed eleven lives.While ordering the suspension of Bengaluru CP, B Dayananda and other top cops CM also announced a one-man commission led by Justice Michael D'Cunha, a retired high court judge to look into the procedural lapses.Immediate arrest of representatives of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), event managers DNA and Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) were also issued. Reportedly, the govt also announced that the case against the three companies would be handed over to the CID.
