Justice Sharma files defamation case against AAP leaders

New Delhi (16.05.2026): Though Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma of Delhi High Court withdrew herself from the Liquor Scam case in which former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was seeking her recusal but not before filing a contempt and defamation cases against AAP leaders like Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh, Saurabh Bharadwaj and Durgesh Pathak. Defamation law does not permit her to continue in the case. But this will certainly make things for the AAP leaders difficult as they were held accountable many a times in the past for making irresponsible statements and apologised on them.
