The NaMo administration on Monday effected a major bureaucratic rejig. As many as sixteen Joint Secretary level officers were given a new assignment;

1. Shyam Bhagat Negi (IPS:1990:HP) appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Coal for a period of five years.
2. Sanjay Lohiya (IAS:1994:AM) appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Mines for a period of five years.
3. Asheesh Sharma (IAS:1997:MH) appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Personnel & Training (DOPT) for a combined tenure of seven years ending 24.02.2023.
4. M Angamuthu (IAS:2002:AM) appointed as Chairman, APEDA under the Ministry of Commerce for a period of five years.
5. Sudhendu Jyoti Sinha (IRTS:1993) appointed as Adviser, NITI Aayog for a period of five years.
6. M Maheshwar Rao (IAS:1995:KN) appointed as Joint Secretary and Financial Adviser, Department of Space (Bengaluru) for a tenure of five years by downgrading the post from Additional Secretary level for two years vice Anoop Srivastava.
7. Mahmood Ahmed (IP&TF&AS:1993) appointed as Joint Secretary Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH) for a tenure of five years.
8. Rahul Singh (IAS:1996:BH) appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Personnel & Training (DOPT) for a tenure of five years.
9. Amitabh Kumar (IRS C&CE:1992) appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Commerce for a period of five years.
10. Anurag Bajpai (IFS:1994) appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Defence Production for a period of five years.
11. Ms Aditi Das Rout (ITS:1986) appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Women and Child Development till her superannuation on 30.09.2023.
12. Ms G Jayanti (CSS) appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Space (Bengaluru) till her superannuation on 31.03.2024.
13. Ms Kesang Yangzom Sherpa (IRS IT:1995) appointed as Member Secretary, NCTE (Joint Secretary level) under the Department of School Education & Literacy.
14. Ms. Rekha Yadav (IRPS:1995) appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Panchayati Raj for a period of five years.
15. Chetan Prakash Jain (IRPS:1995) appointed as Joint Secretary and Financial Adviser, Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) for a tenure of five years.
16. Ashish Chatterjee (IAS:1999:TN) appointed as Senior Directing Staff SDS (Civil), National Defence College under the Department of Defence for a combined tenure of seven years i.e. up to 01.06.2021.
