New Delhi (22.09.2024): The Centre on Saturday elevated (in-situ) four IPS officers from Additional Director rank to the rank of Special Director in the Intelligence Bureau (IB). To formalize the promotion the Additional Director posts held by four batchmates (1993) were temporarily upgraded to Special Director rank for a period of two years. New Delhi (22.09.2024): The Centre on Saturday elevated (in-situ) four IPS officers from Additional Director rank to the rank of Special Director in the Intelligence Bureau (IB). To formalize the promotion the Additional Director posts held by four batchmates (1993) were temporarily upgraded to Special Director rank for a period of two years.
Officers elevated to Special Director (Level-16 in the pay matrix) are;

- Dr Mahesh Dixit (IPS: 1993: AP)
