New Delhi (21.09.2024): The Centre has appointed Air Marshal Amar Preet Singh as the next Chief of the Air Staff today. Air Marshal Singh will take over after the current chief of air staff Vivek Ram Chaudhari completes his tenure on September 30, 2024.
Air Marshal Singh was commissioned into the fighter pilot stream of the Indian Air Force in December 1984. An alumnus of the National Defence Academy, Defence Services Staff College, and National Defence College, he is a Qualified Flying Instructor and Experimental Test Pilot, boasting over 5,000 flight hours on a diverse range of fixed and rotary wing aircraft.
