The Delhi government on Monday gave the additional charge of several key departments to four IAS officers. The departments have been without a head since secretary-rank officers who headed these organizations either left the post or retired. Sandeep Kumar (IAS AGMUT 1997), who is the managing director of the Delhi Khadi and Village Industries Board, will hold the additional charge of secretary-cum-commissioner (transport). Recently, a complaint was registered with the Anti-Corruption Branch against the department and former transport minister Gopal Rai after concerns were raised on the launch of the premium bus service scheme. A Anbarasu, who is the revenue secretary and divisional commissioner, will also be in charge of the services department. AK Singh (IAS 1995), who is secretary-cum-commissioner (labour), will hold the additional charge of secretary (GAD) - it was headed by Ramesh Negi, who retired recently. The charge of principal secretary (UD) has been given to Janak Duggal, who is also the CMD of the Delhi Finance Corporation.
