10 IPS officers of Himachal Pradesh,
including additional director general of police Sanjay Kundu, have been
promoted. A 1989-batch officer, Kundu, is currently
posted as the additional principal secretary to the chief minister. He has been
promoted to the rank of director general of police. Others included Atul Kumar Fulzele and
Puneeta Bhardwaj from 2001 batch who were promoted to the rank of IGs. Some
2005-batch officers, including Sumedha, Santosh Patial, and Suneel Kumar were
promoted to the rank of DIGs. 2006-batch officers, including Ashok Kumar,
Abhishek Dullar, Madhusudan and Rani Bindu have been given selection grade.
