Govt may seek an explanation from IAS officer Sivasankar on his book

1394Thiruvananthapuram (08.02.2022): With the matter still sub-juiced and not seeking prior approval, the Kerala government may seek an explanation from principal secretary of sports and youth affairs M Sivasankar (IAS: 1995: KL) for writing a book on his version of events in the gold smuggling case. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan's opinion will also be sought before seeking an explanation. The book pertains to the gold smuggling case through a diplomatic channel that shook the foundations of the Left government during its first tenure. M Sivasankar mentions in the book how co-accused Swapna Suresh cheated him. After seeing excerpts from the book, Swapna Suresh publically slammed the bureaucrat and made several revelations about how Sivasankar was aware of the gold smuggling.
