Patna (08.02.2022): Of 925 police stations and 250 outposts approx 100 police stations and out- posts have gone “missing” in the ‘Su-shasan’ state i.e. Bihar. The shocking revelation came to light when the staffers of Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) submitted their report to the state police headquarters stating that it failed to find out the buildings of 37 police outposts and 62 police stations at the specified locations in 28 out of the 40 police districts for the installation of CCTV camera. It may be underlined that CCTV cameras are being installed in all notified police stations under the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and System (CCTNS) of the center. The TASL report prompted the police headquarters to initiate the process of physical verification of the police stations and outposts that were ‘missing’ despite their names included in the list.
