After playing cat and mouse for long, finally former
Kolkata commissioner and senior IPS officer of West Bengal cadre Rajeev Kumar
got an interim bail in Sharada chit fund case from Calcutta High Court. The CBI
is investigating the matter in which Kumar is an accused. The CBI was seeking his arrest but the court ruled
that it is not such a matter in which arrest is required. But the court ruled
that he must be available to the CBI on 48 hour prior notice.
