Former DIG among 5 imprisoned for 10 years in J & K sex scandal

The Special Judge, CBI Cases, Chandigarh sentenced K. C. Padhi, the then DIG, Border Security Force (BSF) & Mohd. Ashraf Mir (former DSP of CID in J&K Police) to undergo 10 years rigorous imprisonment with fine of Rs 1 lakh each and three others to undergo 10 years rigorous imprisonment with fine of Rs. 50,000/- each in a sex scandal case of Srinagar.
The Court further directed that the fine amount be applied for the payment to the victim as compensation for loss of reputation, dignity & mental harassment and loss of opportunity of education. CBI had registered the case in May 2006.
