Chennai (11.04.2026): Election Commission of India (ECI) has ordered transferring Dheeraj Kumar (IAS: 1993: TN), Home Secretary to the Tamil Nadu Government. K Manivasan (IAS: 1993: TN), who was serving as Additional Chief Secretary of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department, has been appointed as the new Home Secretary; the ECI also directed that Dheeraj Kumar should not be posted for any election related works till the completion of the Assembly elections.
