Office, whose knowledge is vital, is likely to be brought back to handle all
economic ministries in PMO in the run up to 2019 Lok Sabha Elections. Dr Somanathan was, on 15 March 2015, appointed Joint
Secretary in PMO vice B V R Subramanyan for a period ending 05 August 2017. Having
been completed the cooling-off period speculation about Dr Somanathan’s
comeback to PMO has further gained momentum.
