• New Delhi (23.09.2021): The ACC on Thursday assigned the additional charge of the post of Secretary, Ministry of Steel to Pradip Kumar Tripathi (lAS:1987:JK); Secretary, Department of Personnel & Training, till the appointment of a regular incumbent.

  • New Delhi (23.09.2021): As Indianmandarins had reported earlier (CLICK) the incumbent CMD of Container Corporation of India V Kalyan Rama was on Thursday given extension in tenure of service for a period ending 30.09.2023 i.e. till retirement. His five years tenure was scheduled to end this month.

  • New Delhi (22.09.2021): Tenure of Sanjay Kumar (IAS:1995:TG), Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, was on Wednesday extended for a period of one year beyond 25.09.2021.

  • New Delhi (23.09.2021): Following the appointment of over a dozen of 1989 batch IAS officers as Union Secretary in various ministries and departments the NaMo administration on Wednesday extended the tenure of temporary up-gradation /down-gradation of the posts presently held by 1987, 1991 & 1994 batch IAS officers. The list goes as follows:

    • Extension in up-gradation of the post of Director-General, National Mission for Clean Ganga, Department of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation from the level of Additional Secretary to that of Secretary, presently held by Rajiv Ranjan Mishra (lAS:1987:TG) for a term up to 31.12.2021.
    • Extension in up-gradation of the post of MD, Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India Ltd (TRIFED) from the level of Additional Secretary to that of Secretary, presently held by Pravir Krishna (IAS:1987:MP)  for a term up to 31.12.2021
    • Extension in up-gradation of the post of Principal Commissioner, Delhi Development Authority from the level of Joint Secretary to that of Additional Secretary, presently held by Manish Kumar Gupta (IAS:1991:UT) for a term up to 02.11.2021.
    • Extension in up-gradation of the post of Mission Director, National Water Mission, Ministry of Jal Shakti from the level of Joint Secretary to that of Additional Secretary, presently held by G Asok Kumar (lAS:1991:TG) for a term up to 23.10.2022.
    • Extension in up-gradation of the post of Joint Secretary & Financial Adviser, Ministry of Power to the level of Additional Secretary presently held by Ashish Upadhyay (lAS:1989:MP) for a term up to 13.11.2022.
    • Extension in up-gradation of the post of Member Secretary, Tariff Commission under DPIIT from the level of Additional Secretary to that of Secretary, presently held by Ms. Shalini Prasad (lAS:1985:UP) for a term upto 19.11.2022.
    • Extension in down-gradation of the post of Special Secretary, Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs to the level of Additional Secretary presently held by Kamran Rizvi (lAS:1991:UP) for a term up to 22.12.2022.
    • Temporary up-gradation of the post held by Ms Nidhi Chhibber (lAS:1994:CG) Additional Secretary, Ministry of Heavy Industries from the level of Joint Secretary to that of Additional Secretary.

  • New Delhi (22.09.2021): The NaMo administration on Wednesday cleared the appointment of thirteen secretaries in the Government of India whereas it elevated (in-situ) nine IAS officers as Special Secretary (GoI) in the rank and pay of union secretaries. Accordingly;

    1. Pradip Kumar Tripathi (lAS:1987:JK) was appointed as Secretary, Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT). Presently, he is Secretary, Ministry of Steel.
    2. Rajiv Bansal (lAS:1988:NL) was appointed as Secretary Ministry of Civil Aviation. He replaces Pradeep Singh Kharola (lAS:1985:KN) who will be retiring this month-end. Presently, Bansal is working as CMD, Air India.
    3. Govind Mohan (lAS:1989:SK) was appointed as Secretary, Ministry of Culture vice Raghvendra Singh (Retd lAS:1983:WB) upon completion of his term on September 30. Presently, Govind Mohan is Additional Secretary, Department of Home.
    4. K Rajaraman (lAS:1989:TN) appointed as Secretary, Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Communications vice Anshu Prakash (lAS:1986:UT) retiring this month-end. Presently, Rajaraman is working as Additional Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs.
    5. Anurag Jain (IAS:1989:MP) was appointed as Secretary, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Presently, he is Vice Chairman, Delhi Development Authority (DDA).
    6. Ms Ansuli Arya (lAS:1989:BH) was appointed as Secretary, Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs. Presently, she is Administrator, Universal Service Obligation Fund, Department of Telecommunications.
    7. Rajesh Aggarwal (lAS:1989:MH) was appointed as Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. Presently, he is Additional Secretary and Financial Adviser, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas.
    8. Lok Ranjan (lAS:1989:TR) was appointed as Secretary, Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DONER). He is Additional Secretary, Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT)
    9. Devendra Kumar Singh (lAS:1989:KL) was appointed as Secretary, Ministry of Cooperation. He is Additional Secretary and Development Commissioner, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.
    10. Sunil Barthwal (lAS:1989:BH) was appointed as Secretary, Ministry of Labour & Employment. Presently, he is working as Central Provident Fund Commissioner, Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO).
    11. Ms. Sujata Chaturvedi (lAS:1989:BH) appointed as Secretary, Department of Sports, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports vice Ravi Mittal (lAS:1986:BH) retiring this month-end. She is Additional Secretary, Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT).
    12. Ms. Anuradha Prasad (IDAS:1986) was appointed as Secretary, Inter-State Council Secretariat (MHA) vice Sanjeev Gupta (IAS:1985:HP) upon his superannuation this month-end. Presently, she is Special Secretary, Ministry of Labour and Employment.
    13. K Sanjay Murthy (lAS:1989:HP) was appointed as Secretary, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education vice Amit Khare (lAS:1985:JH). Presently, he is CEO & MD of National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation Limited, Ministry of Commerce & Industry.

    Further, as many as nine additional secretaries level officers (1989 batch) were in-situ upgraded in the rank of Special Secretary in the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India. The list of elevated in the rank & pay of union secretary goes as follows:

  • New Delhi (21.09.2021): Surender Kumar (IPS:2007:UT) was on Tuesday appointed as Director in the Ministry of Home Affairs for a tenure upto 15.08.2024.

  • New Delhi (21.09.2021): The Centre on Tuesday appointed four Chief Vigilance Officers for four PSUs and BIS. Accordingly;

    1. Ms S Uma Venkatesan (IRS IT:1994) was appointed as Chief Vigilance Officer in Cochin Shipyard Ltd. (CSL), Kochi for a period ending 09.10.2024.
    2. Anupam Chandra (IOFS:2000) was appointed as Common Chief Vigilance officer in National Projects Construction Ltd. (NPCC) and Water & Power Consultancy Service Ltd. (WAPCOS) for an initial period of three years.
    3. K Rajendran (CPSE:1988) was appointed as Chief Vigilance Officer in Cochin Port Trust (CoPT) for a period ending 23.11.2023 which be extended upto 23.11.2024 (combined six yrs)
    4. Ashish Tripathi (IRS IT:2007) was appointed as CVO, Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) Delhi for an initial period of three years.

  • New Delhi (20.09.2021): Sanjay Chander (IPS:1987:WB) was on Monday appointed as to the post of Director-General, Railway Protection Force. As DG, RPF he may have a tenure till July 2023.
