New Delhi (18.04.2025): The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet on April 17 appointed four senior IRS (Income Tax) officers as new members to the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT). Four Member posts were vacant in the board led by Ravi Agrawal as Chairperson with two other members Ramesh Narain Parbat and Prabodh Seth holding multiple charges.   
The newly appointed CBDT members are:
  1. Pankaj Kumar Mishra (IRS IT: 1989)  
  2. Sanjay Bahadur (IRS IT: 1989)
  3. L. Rajasekhar Reddy (IRS IT: 1989) 
  4. G. Aparna Rao (IRS IT: 1989) 
It may be underlined that Pankaj Kumar Mishra is empanelled for holding Secretary or Secretary-equivalent level posts in Govt of India. He was, in August 2024, posted as Principal CC IT (MP & Chhattisgarh) and later in October 2024 he was appointed Member (Finance) in the Atomic Energy Commission. 
Sanjay Bahadur is working as Principal Director General of Income Tax (Training), Delhi while L. Rajasekhar Reddy is PCCIT (TDS), Chennai in Tamil Nadu & Puducherry Regions and G. Aparna Rao is PCCIT-1, Bengaluru in Karnataka & Goa Regions. Rajasekhar Reddy and Aparna Rao were recently (March 2025) empanelled as Principal CCIT (Apex Scale/ level 17 of the pay matrix).
